Review of Research Councils

research

The University is preparing a response to the review of the UK Research Councils, being led by Sir Paul Nurse.

Research Councils provide the largest share – around 40% – of the University’s research income each year and support major centres, programmes, projects, fellowships and studentships.

The review will consider strategic decision-making, the balance of the funding portfolio, ways of working and collaborations/partnerships.

The Research Policy Team is hoping to include case studies and examples from the University that demonstrate the crucial role that Research Councils play in supporting the research base.

If you are able to contribute, please contact Vicki O’Connor in Research Policy before 10 April.
