Policy Provocations webcast now available

The webcast from the latest Policy Provocations lecture series is now available.

The Policy Provocations series brings together perspectives from leading international, UK and local thinkers to debate big policy challenges shaping the future.

Held in the International Slavery Museum at the Albert Dock, Can aid deliver for Africa?, discussed reconsidering the case for aid and how we can provide aid that is compassionate and effective whilst promoting growth, good governance and independence.

The well attended debate was chaired by Dr Nynke van der Broek, Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine with a panel which included The Rt Rev Justin Porter Welby, Bishop of Durham, Helen Magombo, Policy Advisor on Aid Effectiveness, Oxfam, Professor Andrew Weeks, Professor of International Maternal Health and Professor David Hulme, Professor of Development Studies and Head of the Institute for Development Policy and Management at the University of Manchester.
