Library team wins Talis Creativity Award

The Reading Lists @ Liverpool Success Team, based at the Sydney Jones Library, has won the Talis Creativity Award 2015.

The team won the award for the their short film featuring how researchers use the Reading Lists @ Liverpool system to recommend resources to students. The system, which was set up just over a year ago, allows students to access reading material that is recommended by their lecturers.

Supported by Talis, the suppliers of the software used for Reading Lists @ Liverpool, the award recognises an original idea or inventive approach to conveying information that improves outcomes.

The judging panel commended the short film for its quality production and its effectiveness in transmitting its message.

Since the Reading Lists @ Liverpool was introduced, the library has had more than 2,000 reading lists uploaded with over 15,000 visitors a month.
